AI Terms of Use

These AI Terms of Use (“AI Terms”) govern your access to and use of the artificial intelligence features, models, assistants, tools, automations, recommendations, summaries, and related services (collectively, the “AI Services”) provided through RecoveryBuddy AI.

These AI Terms supplement the RecoveryBuddy AI Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict, these AI Terms govern solely with respect to your use of the AI Services.

By using any AI-powered feature of RecoveryBuddy AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these AI Terms.

Purpose of the AI Services

RecoveryBuddy AI uses artificial intelligence to help users access educational information, organize recovery activities, create recovery plans, track progress, generate summaries, answer questions, support journaling, facilitate communication, and provide personalized recovery support tools.

The AI Services are intended to assist users and support recovery-related activities. They are not intended to replace professional healthcare, therapy, counseling, medical treatment, emergency services, or legal advice.

Availability of AI Services

RecoveryBuddy AI may add, modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue AI features at any time.

We do not guarantee that every AI feature will always be available or operate without interruption.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the AI Services only for lawful and appropriate purposes.

You may not use the AI Services to:

Violate any law or regulation.
Harass, threaten, or intimidate others.
Promote violence or illegal activity.
Generate fraudulent or deceptive content.
Impersonate another person or organization.
Create malware or malicious software.
Attempt to bypass security controls.
Exploit vulnerabilities in the Platform.
Interfere with the operation of the AI Services.
Infringe intellectual property rights.

Use automated tools to abuse or overload the AI Services.

RecoveryBuddy AI reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for misuse of the AI Services.

AI Responses Are Informational

Artificial intelligence generates responses using statistical and machine learning models.

AI-generated responses:

May be inaccurate.
May be incomplete.
May contain outdated information.
May contain errors.
May not reflect current clinical guidance.
May not be appropriate for every situation.

Users remain responsible for independently evaluating AI-generated information before relying upon it.

No Medical Advice

RecoveryBuddy AI does not provide:

Medical advice
Mental health advice
Psychiatric advice
Psychological advice
Diagnosis
Treatment
Therapy
Medication recommendations
Clinical decision-making

The AI Services are educational and informational only.

Always seek advice from qualified healthcare professionals regarding medical, behavioral health, or recovery-related questions.

No Emergency Services

RecoveryBuddy AI is not an emergency service.

The AI Services are not monitored for emergencies and must not be relied upon during situations involving:

Suicidal thoughts
Self-harm
Overdose
Medical emergencies
Psychiatric emergencies
Violence
Abuse
Immediate danger

If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or the appropriate crisis resources immediately.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

Information you submit to the AI Services.
Decisions made based on AI-generated content.
Actions taken in reliance upon AI responses.
Verifying important information through qualified professionals where appropriate.

RecoveryBuddy AI does not assume responsibility for decisions made based on AI-generated outputs.

AI Learning and Improvement

To improve the quality, safety, and performance of the AI Services, RecoveryBuddy AI may process AI interactions consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Such processing may include:

Security monitoring
Fraud detection
Abuse prevention

AI-Generated Content

Subject to applicable law and any third-party intellectual property rights, you may generally use AI-generated content produced for you through RecoveryBuddy AI for lawful personal or business purposes.

You remain responsible for reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and suitability before publication or reliance.

RecoveryBuddy AI does not guarantee that AI-generated content is unique, original, or free from third-party rights.

Intellectual Property

All AI models, prompts, workflows, software, interfaces, algorithms, source code, documentation, branding, and related technologies used by RecoveryBuddy AI remain the exclusive property of Digjy LLC or its licensors.

These AI Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to users.

Restrictions

You may not:

Reverse engineer AI models except where non-waivable law permits.
Extract model weights or training data.
Attempt to identify confidential system prompts.
Circumvent usage limits.
Use automated methods to scrape AI outputs at scale without authorization.
Use the AI Services to develop competing AI systems using unauthorized methods.
Misrepresent AI-generated content as human professional advice.

Third-Party AI Providers

RecoveryBuddy AI may utilize third-party artificial intelligence models or infrastructure providers.

Those providers may process information as necessary to provide AI functionality, subject to contractual obligations and applicable law.

Use of third-party AI technologies does not alter your relationship with Digjy LLC under these AI Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE AI SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DIGJY LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

RecoveryBuddy AI does not warrant that AI-generated outputs will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DIGJY LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, OR CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO:

Reliance on AI-generated content.
Errors or omissions in AI responses.
AI-generated recommendations.
AI-generated summaries.
AI-generated recovery plans.
AI service interruptions.
AI availability.
AI hallucinations or inaccurate outputs.
Decisions made based on AI-generated information.

Any liability that cannot legally be excluded shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and as provided in the RecoveryBuddy AI Terms of Service.

Changes to the AI Services

RecoveryBuddy AI may update, retrain, replace, improve, or discontinue AI models, algorithms, prompts, workflows, or related technologies at any time without prior notice.

The functionality, behavior, and capabilities of AI Services may change over time.

Changes to These AI Terms

We may revise these AI Terms periodically to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or Platform functionality.

Updated versions will be posted on the RecoveryBuddy AI website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of the AI Services after the effective date of revised AI Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
