This Peer Recovery Disclaimer applies to the RecoveryBuddy AI website, mobile applications, WordPress plugin, artificial intelligence services, Peer Recovery Coach features, recovery meetings, messaging services, provider portals, organization dashboards, recovery community features, and all related products and services (collectively, the “Platform”).

Please read this disclaimer carefully before using RecoveryBuddy AI.

By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Peer Recovery Disclaimer.

Purpose of Peer Recovery Services

RecoveryBuddy AI provides technology that allows Recovery Clients, Peer Recovery Coaches, Certified Recovery Specialists, recovery organizations, treatment providers, sponsors, family members, and other authorized users to communicate, collaborate, and participate in recovery-focused activities.

Peer recovery support is intended to encourage hope, mutual support, shared experiences, accountability, wellness, and recovery-focused engagement.

Peer recovery support complements—but does not replace—professional medical, behavioral health, psychiatric, psychological, legal, or social services.

Peer Recovery Coaches Are Independent

Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, Peer Recovery Coaches who use RecoveryBuddy AI:

Are independent users of the Platform.
Are not employees of Digjy LLC.
Are not agents of Digjy LLC.
Are not representatives of Digjy LLC.
Are not partners or joint venturers with Digjy LLC.
Do not have authority to bind Digjy LLC.
Do not speak on behalf of Digjy LLC.

Any opinions, recommendations, advice, or communications provided by Peer Recovery Coaches are solely those of the individual providing them.

Peer Recovery Is Not Clinical Care

Peer recovery support is based on lived experience, mutual encouragement, and recovery-oriented support.

Peer Recovery Coaches do not provide clinical services through the Platform unless they are separately licensed and acting within the scope of an independent professional relationship outside of RecoveryBuddy AI.

Nothing provided by a Peer Recovery Coach through the Platform should be interpreted as:

Medical advice.
Mental health treatment.
Psychological counseling.
Psychiatric treatment.
Clinical supervision.
Professional diagnosis.
Individualized treatment planning.
Medication management.
Legal advice.

Users should consult qualified professionals regarding healthcare, treatment, medications, legal matters, or other professional services.

No Professional Relationship

Using RecoveryBuddy AI to communicate with a Peer Recovery Coach does not automatically establish:

A provider-patient relationship.
A therapist-client relationship.
A counselor-client relationship.
A psychologist-patient relationship.
A psychiatrist-patient relationship.
An attorney-client relationship.
Any fiduciary or professional relationship.

Peer support relationships are independent of Digjy LLC unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

No Guarantee of Credentials

RecoveryBuddy AI may offer verification features for Peer Recovery Coaches or organizations.

Verification indicates only that certain information has been reviewed or confirmed according to RecoveryBuddy AI’s verification procedures at the time of review.

Verification does not constitute:

Licensure.
Certification by Digjy LLC.
Accreditation.
Endorsement.
Recommendation.
Employment.
A guarantee of competency, qualifications, ethics, or future performance.

Users remain responsible for evaluating whether a Peer Recovery Coach is appropriate for their needs.

User Choice

Recovery Clients are solely responsible for deciding:

Whether to communicate with a Peer Recovery Coach.
Whether to continue a peer support relationship.
Whether to participate in meetings.
Whether to share personal information.
Whether to follow suggestions received from other users.

RecoveryBuddy AI does not require users to communicate with any specific Peer Recovery Coach.

User Communications

RecoveryBuddy AI provides technology that enables communication between users.

Digjy LLC is generally not a participant in conversations between:

Recovery Clients.
Peer Recovery Coaches.
Sponsors.
Family Members.
Providers.
Organizations.
Other users.

Users remain solely responsible for their communications and interactions.

RecoveryBuddy AI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, appropriateness, or reliability of statements made by other users.

Community Participation

RecoveryBuddy AI may provide access to:

Recovery communities.
Peer support groups.
Live recovery meetings.
Discussion forums.
Messaging.
Community posts.
Educational events.
Wellness activities.

Participation in these activities is voluntary.

Users are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment when interacting with others.

Recovery Meetings

RecoveryBuddy AI may provide technology supporting virtual recovery meetings and other peer support sessions.

Unless expressly identified otherwise, Digjy LLC is not the organizer, sponsor, facilitator, moderator, or clinical supervisor of meetings conducted through the Platform.

Meeting hosts are responsible for managing their sessions, establishing participation expectations, and complying with applicable laws.

Confidentiality

RecoveryBuddy AI encourages users to respect the confidentiality of information shared during peer support interactions.

However, Digjy LLC cannot guarantee that other users will maintain confidentiality.

Users should carefully consider the information they choose to disclose through the Platform.

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate and should always be independently evaluated.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

RecoveryBuddy AI does not guarantee:

Successful recovery.
Long-term sobriety.
Prevention of relapse.
Positive recovery outcomes.
Improved relationships.
Employment outcomes.
Housing outcomes.
Clinical improvement.
Wellness improvements.
Success of peer support relationships.

Recovery depends upon numerous factors beyond the control of Digjy LLC.

Disclaimer of Warranties

RecoveryBuddy AI provides peer recovery technology, messaging tools, meetings, educational resources, AI-generated information, and related services on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Digjy LLC disclaims all warranties regarding:

User communications.
Community participation.
Meeting participation.
Educational information.
AI-generated information.
Recovery support outcomes.
Platform availability.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Digjy LLC, RecoveryBuddy AI, its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any claims, damages, injuries, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from or relating to:

Communications between users.
Peer Recovery Coach interactions.
Community participation.
